Accountant
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accoutant will be responsible for all monthly accounting operations, payroll execution and administration of benefits programs. The individual will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution by benefiting from a global view of the accounting cycle, enabling him/her to focus on priorities and suggest improvements to optimize processes. For this role, we require an office presence of at least 2 days a week.
As a Accoutant at Spiria, you will be required to:
- Make month-end accounting entries;
- Prepare payroll with ADP software and review remittances;
- Follow-up accounts receivable/payable;
- Make supplier payments;
- Preparation of tax returns;
- Perform various month-end reconciliations;
- Analyze variances;
- Participate in annual audit;
- Follow-up on RRSP and benefits programs;
- Commission calculations;
- Bank reconciliations;
- Contribute to improving department efficiency.
The keys to your success
- 5-10 years' experience in accounting;
- DEC or Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA designation an asset;
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written*;
- Mastery of auditing procedures and accounting principles;
- Good knowledge of ERP use and optimization (Business Central an asset);
- Attention to detail, methodical and good at managing priorities;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Microsoft Excel skill intermediate to advanced;
- Experience in a SME is an asset.
