Task Manager search box

A sought-after improvement is coming to Windows 11: a search and filtering system in Task Manager. The Windows Insider team explains in a blog post that this was their users’ most requested function. The filter can use the binary name, the PID, or the software publisher name. In addition to the new search and filtering functionality, Microsoft adds the option of dark or light theme in the Task Manager. These changes are being tested in the latest beta channel release of Windows 11 (Build 22623.891), which means they’ll probably start showing up in the operating system in the upcoming weeks or months.
