Samsung Electronics America announced that Galaxy phone owners will soon be able to fix some of its most popular models themselves, starting with the S20, S21, and Tab S7 Plus. Users will have access to original parts, repair tools, and detailed manuals with step-by-step illustrations produced by iFixit. “We are working with Samsung to improve their repair guide and DIY parts offerings,” iFixit CEO Kyle Wiens told The Verge. He added that the manual for the Galaxy S20 series is ready to go and that iFixit is hard at work writing manuals for the S21 and the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. Next, other phones such as the S22 and cheaper models like the Galaxy A will join the ranks.
