Recharge to 100% in less than 10?

Oppo demonstrated a prototype equipped with the 240W SuperVOOC fast charging technology at the Mobile World Congress. With this kind of power, a 4500 mAh battery fully recharges in 9 minutes and gets up to 50% in just 3.5 minutes. That’s an average of 1% for every 4 to 5 seconds of charging time! However, this kind of performance has a downside: a deterioration in the battery’s lifespan. That’s why Oppo is about to release a 150W charging system using the same technology. The wait time for a phone to fully charge is 15 minutes with this reduced power, but that’s still significantly better than the overnight charge. Oppo claims that this system preserves 80% of the battery’s original capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles, which is commendable.
