GitHub is working on “Hey, GitHub!”, a new, voice-interactive system that will let programmers code using just their voice, without the need for a keyboard. This feature will be included with Copilot, the subscription-based service that autocompletes your code using AI. “We’re excited about the potential to bring the benefits of GitHub Copilot to even more developers, including developers who have difficulty typing using their hands”, says GitHub. The new feature also lets programmers control Visual Studio Code with commands such as run the program or toggle zen mode. GitHub set up a waiting list for those who want to test the service in beta.
