Just a week after Samsung and iFixit announced their partnership, Google also sidled up to the specialist in tech-repair tools and manuals. This agreement means that Pixel phone owners can get parts much more easily should their phone break down. Items such as batteries, displays, and cameras will be available for purchase on the iFixit website in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and other European countries where Pixel phones are sold. The spare parts will fit a wide range of Pixel phones, including the latest Pixel 6 device and going back to the Pixel 2 released in 2017. Pixel parts will be sold both individually and in “Fix Kits”, which include the necessary tools. You can also find out about trade-in and recycling programs for devices you’re no longer using.
