Find X5 Pro, Stormtroopers get a phone

After many rumors and leaks, Oppo has officially announced the Find X5 Pro, its flagship phone for 2022. It’s the next iteration of last year’s excellent Find X3 Pro (no, you didn’t miss the X4 — Oppo said its foldable Oppo Find N technically was the fourth generation). What immediately catches the eye is its ceramic back panel with the camera bump’s curve, which gives the white version a futuristic look worthy of a Star Wars stormtrooper.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has the same three rear sensors as its predecessor: a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13 MP telephoto sensor (with 2x optical zoom). It’s a shame that it’s missing its predecessor’s entertaining 3 MP microscope camera. Other tech specs include a 6.7-inch 1440p 120Hz OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 5,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Pricing and release dates for the Find X5 Pro have not been disclosed but will vary by region.
