Intel just unveiled its new line of PC processors, signifying the company’s leap from 14nm to 10nm (compared to its competitors’ 7nm). This 12th generation “Alder Lake” promises a 19% power increase. This in turn gives Dell and other PC manufacturers a chance to update their models.
Dell-Alienware is therefore revisiting its line of Aurora gaming PCs with new Intel processors and with a chassis design called Legend 2.0, which remains just as divisive as the previous one (you either love it or hate it). You can choose any 12th generation Intel processor, ranging from i512600KF to i912900K (R13 build), but also an AMD Ryzen processor, again with an option of 5 5600X to 9 5900X (R14 build). Basic configurations range from CA$ 1,850 to CA$ 4,500 with an Intel processor, or from CA$ 1,600 to CA$ 4,120 with a Ryzen processor. For an additional CA$ 50, you can have a transparent side panel. You have a large choice of graphics cards: the GeForce RTX (3060 to 3090) or Radeon RX (6800 XT or 6900 XT). You can order these computers today from the Intel website as they are listed “in stock”.
In addition, Dell presented its new series of XPS Desktop computers equipped with 12th generation processors, whose chassis was also redesigned.
