A Super Mario watch for a super price

An unexpected partnership between Nintendo and luxury watch maker TAG Heuer has given birth to a “TAG Heuer Connected ✕ Super Mario Limited Edition” smartwatch that costs a measly US$ 2,150 (CA$ 2,700). The specifications are the same as those of the TAG Heuer Connected 2020: a Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 1.39-inch 454×454px OLED display and a 430 mAh battery. According to the manufacturer’s website, the watch features “particularly playful exclusive watch faces” and Super Mario animations that prompt you to increase your physical activity. Of course, you can nab the same kind of watch elsewhere for under US$ 300, but where would you be without Super Mario and the luxurious steel case? Tempted? Run, leap and seize! This is a limited issue of 2000.
