We have noticed at the MWC that a new operating system is making news: Firefox OS. It is similar in many ways to Android. The major potential advantage is that it is based on HTML 5 and local JavaScript, with several functions for notifications, accelerometers, etc. The new operating system is also based on HTML 5 and local JavaScript.

The OS already integrates with platforms such as Cordova (PhoneGap) and could eventually be integrated with our own porting platform, Lithium.
Alcatel Onetouchfire with Firefox OS
Unfortunately, very few mobile devices support Firefox OS at the moment (like the ZTE Open) and these are almost all out of stock. However, the Geeksphone is announced for the end of April, which promises better performance than previous reference devices.
